My Journey
Growing up, I was the kid obsessed with trying every sport and activity under the sun. That curiosity eventually led me to earn my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, where I dove into how the body responds to stress, rest, and the tools we use to support it. After college, I spent several years working as a community health coordinator, helping groups of all ages discover sensible ways to stay active and feel their best, no matter their schedule or goals.
Though I loved supporting people one-on-one, I wanted a space where I could share more and that’s where this blog began.

Why This Blog
In early 2026, I decided to turn my years of hands-on experience into honest, hands-on product reviews. Here’s the thing: there are so many wellness and lifestyle products out there but not all of them live up to their claims. I started melissawtfitness.com to cut through the noise. I wanted a space where real people could get real insight into how things work, how they feel, and whether they’re worth your time and money.
I test everything I review personally. I’ll talk about what I loved, what fell short, and how a product might work for you in everyday life, because nobody has time for fluff.

These days I’m based in Asheville, North Carolina, where the mountains are my happy place. When I’m not testing products or writing reviews, you’ll find me wandering local trails, trying out healthy recipes at home, or curled up with a good book and a cup of herbal tea.
